Members and Membership Criteria
To be eligible for membership in The Woodmark Group, a children’s hospital must meet and maintain these criteria:
- Be an independent or self-governing not-for-profit children’s hospital or independent or functionally independent foundation, as defined by Woodmark’s Board of Directors
- Be exempt from federal income tax in the United States or Canada
- Have a clear and distinct philanthropic brand focused on one children’s hospital or children’s health system
- Be affiliated with an academic medical center to advance the research mission
- Demonstrate excellence in the development function, as indicated by measures established and approved by Woodmark’s Board of Directors
